These Asian BBQ Chicken Skewers are a flavour bomb on a stick—succulent thigh meat marinated in Black Garlic & Co’s bold Asian concentrate, then grilled to perfection until charred and caramelised. The glaze is smoky, tangy, and rich with umami depth, clinging to each juicy bite. Paired with a crisp rainbow slaw dressed in a zingy sesame-honey vinaigrette and served over silky noodles, this dish is a riot of texture, colour, and punchy flavour. It’s gourmet street food energy—playful, satisfying, and unapologetically delicious. Perfect for sharing… or not.

Directions
Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning
Dice chicken into 3cm cube, season well and marinate chicken in Black Garlic & Co Asian Concentrate for 30 minutes or overnight
When ready to cook, thread three pieces of chicken onto each skewer, heat sesame oil on BBQ plate or in a large frypan over medium high heat. Grill for 4 - 5 minutes on each side until chicken is cooked through. Repeat with remaining skewers. Reserve any pan juices to spoon over cooked chicken skewers.
Meanwhile, for salad, toss together all ingredients with salad dressing.
Serve skewers, dusted with sesame seeds, alongside slaw and noodles.
Recipe Note
For a vegetarian option, replace chicken with tofu, zucchini, or pumpkin.
