Ingredients
-
400g Beef rump steak, finely sliced
-
70g Aged Black Garlic Asian Concentrate
-
450g Hokkien noodles
-
Four tbsp sesame oil
-
150g Brown onion, finely sliced
-
180g Red capsicum, finely sliced
-
150g Broccolini, stems cut into thirds
-
Salt and pepper
Directions
Combine steak, Asian Concentrate and 30ml of room temperature water in a bowl then set aside to marinate for 15 minutes.
While waiting for the meat to marinate, heat the noodles as instructed on the noodle packaging then drain and set aside.
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a large deep frying pan or wok and once hot add half the marinated meat, leaving excess marinade in the bowl. Fry the meat for a couple of minutes each side on a hight heat until the sauce on the meat is slightly caramelised.
Transfer the cooked meat to a bowl and set aside. Add 1 tbsp of oil and fry the rest of the marinated meat the same way, leave the excess sauce in the bowl for later.
Set all the cooked meat aside. Wipe/wash out the pan then heat 2 tbsp of oil on a high heat. Once hot, stir-fry the onions on a high heat until browned and softened. Add the capsicum and broccolini and stir-fry for a couple of minutes until heated through. Add the cooked meat to the pan, scraping in all the excess marinade.
Add 30ml of water to the first marinating bowl and loosen the leftover marinade before tipping it into the pan as well. Add the noodles, gently stirring them through the sauce and stir-fry until all the ingredients are evenly mixed together.
Season with salt and pepper then serve hot.
