2 punnets of strawberries, hulled and quartered

⅓ - ½ cup caster sugar (depending on the sweetness of the strawberries)

2 Tbsp Black Garlic & Co Cherry Balsamic Vinegar

½ tsp vanilla extract

6 individual pavlovas or one large pavlova to serve 6 (store-bought or homemade)

300ml thickened cream, whipped to soft peaks

Basil leaves
-
Fresh strawberries, halved

Directions
To Prepare Balsamic Strawberries
Place quartered strawberries in a wide shallow pan, along with sugar, balsamic and vinegar.
Bring to the boil and then reduce heat. Simmer for 10 minutes or until the juices have reduced and are thick and syrupy.
Set aside to cool completely before serving.
Once cool, separate the strawberries from most of the remaining syrup and save both.
To Assemble Pavlovas
Place pavlovas on a serving platter, dollop on with whipped cream and pile them with balsamic strawberries.
Finish with fresh berries and basil leaves.
